The Story
The TP-Link SG1016PE is a 16-port Gigabit PoE+ Easy Smart Switch designed for small to medium-sized businesses and office environments. It combines high-speed Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support, delivering both data and power over a single Ethernet cable to devices such as IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones.
Each of the 16 PoE+ ports provides up to 30W of power, with a total power budget of 150W, eliminating the need for separate power adapters. The switch offers Gigabit speeds (10/100/1000 Mbps) for bandwidth-intensive applications like video conferencing and HD streaming.
Management is handled through a simple web interface, supporting VLAN, QoS, and port mirroring for network traffic prioritization and performance optimization. The switch features a 1U 13-inch rack-mountable steel case and includes 8 PoE+ ports with 802.3at/af compliance.
